A quantum physics experiment that took place in the south of France in 1982 holds the key to understanding the importance of t he year 2012.  The year designated by prophets, such as Nostradamus, and civilizations, like the Mayans, as the end of the world.  However, the world as we know it didn't end, but something else did begin.

It has been said that the human race is on the verge of a shift in beliefs and human consciousness, similar to when Columbus discovered the world to be round in 1492 or when Galileo unveiled that the sun was the center of the solar system in 1632.  In present day, Meredith Stevens, a successful business woman , uncovers a university experiment, which up until now, has remained mysteriously hidden in the academic world.  Once exposed, this experiment links the new world of quantum physics to the old prophecies of Nostradamus, the Mayans, and 2012.  However, not everyone wants this knowledge to become public, as some groups and establishments are unwilling to give up the control they have mastered over mankind.  Meredith must expose this forbidden knowledge before the world starts down a path from which there is no return.
